Indeed. I work for a shipping company. Freight costs for moving stuff
halfway around the globe is of the order of a few percent (1-5%) of the
value of the goods shipped. That means, if there is a similar difference
in
production costs in different places, it is worthwhile to ship the
stuff.
And a few percent differrence is easy to find.
