Rheindahlen 2002

Hello 

A few days ago I received the announcement of the Rheindahlen 2002 (in 
Western Germany) convention next April - see below. 

Is anybody coming ? Our Dutch friends perhaps ?
I hope I will be able to make it.

Any chance of setting up a GZG game ?

IN THE REINDAHLEN ROOMS, JHQ MONCHENGLADBACH

The Rheindahlen Rooms have been extended and renovated so we now have 
more than double our old space. We think you will enjoy the venue. 
Smokers will be asked to use the covered Patio area for smoking, as 
this facility is non-smoking. There is ample car parking opposite the 
Rooms. 

COMPETITIONS; AS USUAL RHEINDAHLEN WILL UMPIRE THE DBM COMPETITION.
Stuhr Games Club will be organising a HOTT Tournament using the Berkley 
Rules available on Richard Bodley Scotts Homepage. 

IF YOUR CLUB WANTS TO ORGANISE A COMPETITION/TOURNAMENT FOR THIS EVENT 
PLEASE LET US KNOW.WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO RUN IT BUT WE CAN HELP WITH 
LOGISTICS. JUST LET US KNOW IN GOOD TIME WHAT YOU ARE DOING SO THAT WE 
CAN GET MAXIMUM PUBLICITY FOR IT. FOR INSTANCE HOW ABOUT A NAPOLEONIC 
OR ACW TOURNAMENT? OR OTHER PERIODS/FANTASY.

Raffle: Once again we shall be having a raffle using the prizes donated 
by Traders. 

AS USUAL ACCOMMODATION IS AVAILABLE IN TWO WAYS:
TRANSIT..5DM PER NIGHT PER PERSON PLUS 20.13DM FOR MEALS. THIS IS A NEW 
FEATURE THIS YEAR. BY PAYING FOR THE MEALS YOU ARE ENTITLED TO THREE 
MEALS A DAY IN THE JUNIOR RANKS MESS (A SHORT WALK FROM THE ROOMS). 
THEY HAVE A GOOD SELECTION OF FOOD AND IT IS GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. 

CASSELS HOUSE..BED AND BREAKFAST IS APPROX 37DM PER PERSON PER DAY.
MESSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AT NORMAL RATES.

Food: Food and drink will be available all through the day but in the 
Rheindahlen Rooms only Bar snacks will be sold. Hot meals are available 
at the Junior Ranks Mess, or other outlets on camp. 

FRIDAY, UP TO 1600 HOURS, IS A SETTING UP DAY SO PLEASE TRY NOT TO 
ARRIVE BEFORE 1200 HOURS OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE PRESSGANGED INTO PUTTING 
TABLES UP. 

These are just the first details to emerge about the Convention. More 
to follow as we near the days. Please let us know how we can improve 
the event. You make the Convention what it is by attending, so lets 
work together and try to improve.
