Huh?  I have no idea how you came out with this, but work out how long
it
takes to do .5AU at a constant thrust of 1g.  I predict you'll be amazed
at
how short a time it is.  The formula is distance = .5 * acceleration *
time^2	-- that's for straight acceleration through to the end point,
you
could also work the time to get to the halfway point, then double that
time,
if you want to arrive at your end point at zero velocity (relative to
your
start point, not necessarily relative to the planet/ship/etc you're
meeting).
