I have used a mass 460 BC (yes, 46 thousand tons) based on the hood BC.
It
did become the main target for the enemy, but the firepower to kill and
single ship that came within range (note-SINGLE ship, it actually had 4
firecons, 1 for each turret). The designs I use for the earthforce
omega,
nova, etc is lighter than that (aprox 200 mass), but still pack a punch.
