How about something along the lines of :

When allocating hits amongst the squad, allocate by stand rather than by
figure. Calculate number of effective hits (eg ones that cause
casualties) as normal.

If a stand receives casualties (WIA or KIA) equivalent to half the
number of figures on the stand or more, then remove the stand. Otherwise
ignore the fire results.
