I did a much lighter version of this kind of vessel for my Dutch--it is
classed as a Colonial Cruiser.	Designed for independant operations--and
carrying a Royal Dutch Marine Company.	And yes, it is streamlined, too.

Firepower on par with a small destroyer, slightly better defenses than
most
DD, but still capable of carrying the troops. It carried NO interface
assault landers--that's why the vessel was streamlined.

I can't say it was a very efficient design. It was designed for police
operations and show-the-flag kind of missions.	And it did let you move
some
troops in a manner that was better protected and faster than most light
transports...
