[SG2] Travel Movement

Subject: [SG2] Travel Movement

Hello !!

Question :

If an unit using Travel Movement is engaged, the unit is automatically
Suppressed regardless of the fire result.

Does it means that if fire result is SUPPRESSION the unit now takes TWO
Suppressions counters ?

Yes.
I just ordered the KV cruiser squadron deal from KR yesterday.
He said that EVERYONE was hitting him for the cruiser deals.

By the way KR, thanks for your assistance and courtesy!
Great deals! I hope that you have recieved enough of a response
to do some package deals in the future.

No, the unit will be suppressed with 1 suppression marker. The unit,
may also take casualties from the fire.

If the unit is fired upon again, use the normal results to figure if any

additional suppression occurs (i.e. the suppressed unit is not now
using Travel Movement).

I still don't agree with this.	I read it as meaning "ADS vehicles may
fire
at air/missiles only with their ADS active; they may fire at ground
targets
regardless of whether or not their ADS lit." Perhaps St^3 Jon will
clarify?

No.

If a unit is in Travel Movement and it is fired upon, here's what
happens:

If the firing unit completely misses, the unit in Travel Movement still
gets a
suppression marker, because it didn't expect to be fired on.

If the firing unit gets a minor success, the unit in Travel Movement
gets a sin
gle suppression marker, as normal.

If the firing unit gets a major success, the unit in Travel Movement
gets a sin
gle suppression marker and rolls for potential casualties, as normal.
Remember,
if the unit leader is a casualty, the unit receives a second
suppression marke

How do you read p.19 that way? The emphasis I provided was

May have something to do with re-reading the DBM rules over the last
couple
of weeks?

I'm reading it as "may fire *even* if" and y'all are reading it as "may
fire
*only* if". I just don't see why lighting off ADS would mean it can't
fire
at ground targets--unless the idea is to make it use its fire only in
the
enemy's activations, not its own. Which is reasonable, and I wouldn't
be
crushed to find out that I'm wrong.
