Greetings Beth,
In some ways the concept reminds me of the
a (fast) subsidized merchant being converted to
an auxiliary cruiser (or Q ahip). The military
part in building the hull is the additional thrust
(2 civilian + 2 military = 4) that would be paid
for out of military (points)funds.
I more consider this concept to be an
interesting mental exercise in design that is
useable mostly in a campaign.
