You could just use some of the smaller ships to represent cruisers
and capital ships.  Individually mounted fighters can be used as 
destroyers and frigates.

I've seen B5W games using the NSL destroyers as Earth Alliance 
Omegas before AoG issued the Omega figures.

I'm sure right after he gets done making the 15mm SGII figs
