It has been over ten years since last I was there, but UT Austin was a
good
point of contact with many active clubs and a con or two. There were
several good shops as well more so then you would expect in a town of
that
size.

Well, I've got three people listed on my Heavy Gear player locations
page
for Austin, TX ("http://www.hicom.net/~teske/hgear/loc/usa.html" for the
USA), so at least there's some wargaming going on there. ^_^
There're also two people listed on Indy's FT page:
Paul Wayner (paul@Skip.UCE.ross.com) - Austin
Jeff Lyon (jefflyon@mail.Skip.UCE.utexas.edu) - Austin (Mostly FT)
(For those who don't know, his page -- rather more relevant to this list
than mine -- is at
"http://www.bcpl.lib.md.us/~indy/full-thrust/location.html".)
Hope this helps....
