What about a beam or rail gun as main gun?  There is nothing for the
loader
to load with a beam, and the rail gun penetrater gets rid of propellant
(you
may have a 20 round magazine).

What happens if you have a more reliable system than tracks and internal
combustion engine?

What about force fields instead of armor?

What about better armor?

Stealth?
