For my Narn we currently rate them as:

Heavy Beam Projector	Mass 2	Mass x 3	One fire arc only.
Heavy Beam Capacitor	Rating x 3	Mass x 3 points 

I also employ Level 1 screens drop the damage done by -1 per die and
level
2 screens drop it by 2 per die. 

Derek wouldn't mind hearing ideas on how to up the fire arcs, by the
way.
