Subject: FT Variable Maneuverability
Human Thrust costs 2xMass for 1 Thrust and 1/2 Maneuver Point.
KraVak Thrust costs 3x Mass for 1 Thrust and 1 Maneuver Point
(according to Schoon, IIRC, on the How to Design a KraVak page which I
copied to local and don't have a url for now).
Therefore 1 Thrust with 0 Maneuver points costs 1xMass, and 1 Maneuver
Point costs 2xMass. Right?
This isn't entirely neat since with a Maneuver Point you can move
left, right or back--but not forwards. I'm too caffeine-depleted to
work the rest out now, but that should let you have ships which are
good at linear thrust but maneuver like pigs on ice--or you could get
little boats which can't out-accelerate the big boys but can turn on a
dime with 9 cents change.
