I agree the FB doesn't deem Wave/Novas as balanced systems
so its unlikely a FB derived class would have such systems.

The rationale for the big guns it to model the end of wing
pods, but these look similar size and calibre as the ESU heavy 
ships and IIRC these are only class 3.
