I shoulda tried compiling a list of everyone's suggestions for IF ship
names, but I didn't, so if there's any overlap, my apologies.

I dug up some Arabic star names that one might consider for ship
class names and offer them here:

 Kalb al 'Akrab ("Heart of the Scorpion" - Antares, main star in
Scorpius)
 Al Shaulah ("The Sting[er]" - Shaula, 'stinger' star in Scorpius)
 Paha (Persian for "The Follower" - Aldebaran, main star in Taurus)
 Al Haur or Al Hawar ("The White of the Eye" or "Bright Eye" - Alioth,
star in
    the Big Dipper)
 Malikiyy ("The Kingly One" - Regulus, main star in Leo)
 Al Nasr al Waki ("The Swooping Eagle" - Vega, main star in Lyra)
 Dilgan (Babylonian for "Messenger of Light" - possible reference to
Vega)

Just some more ideas.
