Ah yes, "the ship that sunk itself".
If memory serves....
The Cap Trafalgar had been extensively VISMOD'ed with canvas etc to make
it look like the MS Carmania (the British ship it most closely
resembled), in order to survive encountering the many British naval
vessels about. The Carmania had been slightly vismoded (it's easier to
add a fake funnel than disguise a real one) so it looked a bit like the
Cap Trafalger (the German ship it most closely resembled) , in order to
get close enough to any German merchie so it could be captured.
By an amazing coincidence, they met.
