As to Vor, I wandered by the demo table but didn't play.

Capsule background:  The Maelstrom is a huge vortex or black hole which
wanders
the galaxy consuming star systems.  The lucky ones take up slowly
decaying
orbits; the unlucky ones plunge straight into the maw at the centre.

Earth is populated by at least 5 factions.  The NeoSovs are a communist
group
with mutants and cyborgs.  The Union opposes them and has well trained
humans.
The Zhykee are a caste and clan bound race of tall spindly warriors. 
The
Razorback growlers are aliens with grossly distorted humanoid features;
massively
overmuscled arms, short legs, thin waists.  They hop forward on their
knuckles.
Think a distorted giant's torso on a human's waist and legs.  Bluefang
growlers
will follow.  They are distinguished by colour and by tusks.

The humans are seeking a way out of the maelstrom.

Miniature wise, the Union troopers are 30 to 33 mm scale, I'd guess. 
The largest
growlers easily dwarf them; most have enough metal in them to cast up
astrong
squad of SG2 figures.

Release schedules were probably a bit off, but extend from now until
mid-September, four to 8 models a week.
