Wing Commander

Definately a batch of weak impressions of the film.  Never saw it myself
(kinda came and went pretty quickly). Was curious about it though, since
I
wrote some scripts for the USA network cartoon series based on Wing
Commander that ran 2-3 years ago.  Not much FT fodder there either,
except
a couple of scenario ideas maybe.

Jurgen Procknow?  Hmmm...did he play the Malcomb McDowell character?
McDowell actually did the voice in the toon -- Mark Hammill did Maverick
in
the toon too (actually toon and documentary VO's are Hammill's bread and
butter these days).  That was the great thing about working on the show,
writing dialogue for Luke Skywalker.

Speaking of Skywalkers and movie reviews -- when did Lucas get his head
so
far up his ass?  I mean the Taco Bell/Pizza Hut/KFC tie in spots were
better than the actual film (the one where, as they're surrounded by the
cheesy robot army,  the Chiauhiua turns to Col. Sanders and asks
"psst...you are a real Colonel aren't you?" is a hoot!)
