Subject: For The Alliance! - Highlights

For The Alliance! has been completed with a sudden victory to the
Imperials due to an unfortunate FTL accident.

Points result: Imperials - 3206 (2154 without rebel accident) vs Rebels
- 1876
Fighter losses were Imperial: 97% (70/72) & Rebel: 91% (71/78).

Major events:

Turn 1:
Interdictor SD 'Impassable' is attacked by 12 squadrons of rebel
fighters, taking major damage & losing the bridge for 5 turns.	Carrack
DDE 'Pandora' seems to have crack gunners, taking down 12 fighters with
only 5 PDS.

Turn 2: 'Impassable' is attacked again, taking heavy damage & losing
shields & all firecons, but more TIE/In squadrons arrive to assist,
taking down a lot of rebel fighters. ISD 'Nemesis' takes a double
threshold check as the entire rebel fleet concentrates it's forward
firepower. It loses life support & both shields as well as most of it's
secondary weaponry.
'Nemesis' TIE squadrons are freed up & attack Mon Cal cruiser 'Libertys
Sword' dealing light damage. Disaster of the turn goes to the
TIE/bomber squadron, which hits with 3 torpedos... and then only scores
3 points of damage.

Turn 3: 'Impassable' is finally finished off by rebel fighters, but not
without a fight, as the rebels have now been reduced to 13 fighters
(from 78), leaving the imperial forces with fighter superiority. They
use this to advantage, heavily damaging the bulk carrier 'Hornet'. ISD
'Nemesis' loses the rest of its batteries & hyperdrive in a point blank
gunnery duel. It's now reduced to a single broadside turbolaser battery
(class-3).
The Nebulan-B frigates 'Endor' & 'Morning Star' are destroyed.	'Endor'
simply ceases to exist as it becomes possible to walk across the
turbolaser fire targetted upon it (from 20 hits to -22 hits in one
turn).

Turn 4: ISD 'Nemesis' falls prey to a lucky shot from 'Libertys Sword'
as the mighty behemoth starts to disengage, the Imperial response is to
target all firepower upon her & the carrier 'Hornet', forcing thresholds
upon both ships; Hornet losing it's bridge. Fighters continue to pound
capital ships & a few more die on each side. Oh, and Conflageration
sends a few droids out to paint over the scratches on the hull.

Turn 5: Imperial Dreadnought Rancor finishes off the Rebel Carrier
Hornet with secondary batteries, as the primaries targetting Liberty's
Sword go astray. The Rebel squadron 'Angela' escapes into hyperspace &
Reb#F10 becomes an ace in one turn as the flight leader kills 5 TIE/In.
Things start heading towards the endgame as the rebel fleet starts to
scatter in preparation for hyperspace.

Turn 6: Liberty's Sword explodes with all hands as she turns to engage,
being unable to engage hyperdrive. However, this draws fire away from
the other vessels, most of which should now escape safely.
Rancor suffers from several secondary explosions, including a steady
stream of atmosphere from a particularly deep strike from The Voluptuous
Ursula, losing life support.
The remaining rebel fighters flee the field while most of the imperial
fighters are slaughtered by point defence, only 1 TIE/In surviving to
attack range.

Turn 7: Conflageration & Incendiary attempt to co-habit the same section
of space during FTL translation, resulting in Conflageration
disappearing never to be seen again & Incendiary being destroyed by the
backwash. The Voluptuous Ursula gains the attention of every Imperial
ship, having her shields fatally overloaded & several shots punching
through to the command bridge.	The rest of the fleet successfully
escapes into hyperspace.

Turn 8+: Rancor repairs life support on Turn 9.
