I'd call this a potential rules abuse. The difference between 2 Class 2
(360) and 1 Class 2 (180), and 3 Class 2 (300) is actually QUITE large.
The
standard design might only have 2 bearing, while the new design would
almost always have 3 bearing.

I say leave the design rules as they stand. Is it more realistic -
perhaps
not, but it is simple and balanced.
