THRUST:
 In the given example, the ship would move 2 during the turn. (normal
practice is
 to move the new speed on the next turn.   Some people play that the
speed change 
 takes affect on the following turn.   Your choice!)
DRIFT:
 Drift is not exactly understood by me at this point;
 Do you mean an object drifting, such as an asteroid, or a ship without
power drifting?
 In both cases the 'drift' occures at the point where the person in
charge says it
 will occur.   
Movement:
 Move sequence for the FT/MT game is:
 Turn (all even numbered course changes)
 Move (half your move, I play the person may round up or down on halves)
 Turn (all odd numbered course changes)
 Move (half your move, or your remaining movement.

Most important, do what feels 'right' to you.	Or do what the majority
of 
players want,  feel free to improvise.
