Gentlebeings - a quick interjection.
Lots of container ideas that I won't bother to quote seem to be looking
at
_one_ standard size of container.
Why don't you go with several different sizes of container.
Mybe something like the following
One holds 10 tonnes
The next one up fits 8 standard size 10 tonne containers into a 2 x 2 x2
(for
example) framework. There would also be larger, single occupancy
containers holding 80 - 100 tonnes (accounting for excess container mass
that fit into the same space. Next up holds 8 of these or approx 1000
tonnes etc etc, planet Nissan can send and recieve containers of the
relevant size for brake cables, seats, ground cars, ground effect
container
transports, interface vehicles, or starships as the case maybe.
OK - it will take a certain amount of co-operation to do this, but that
how
containerisation works today - you have an agreed upon standard.
