weeelll sort of. i'm fairly sure it uses the vangelis music, 'rachel's
theme' i think. no actual blatant vocal sample-type 'oh my god they
killed
kenny' bits.

and of course, we should mention wipeout and wipeout 2907; the in-game
music was so good they sold it as a standalone album. in the uk,
trailers
for starship troopers had blur's 'song two' played over them, so if
you're
looking for Music for Drops that's your bunny. there's a track called
'inanga' by a band called 'fortran five' (which is in itself remarkable)
which samples quite a bit of apocalypse now - roughly from the scene of
the priest holding mass in a burning village to the air cav assault with
the vagner. i have to say that in my experience, the best thing is to
pick
a genre both/all players like and play records constantly. this worked
great with my last regular opponent as we were both into techno. it may
not work so well if you can't find any common ground.
