Hi John,
Well, it really will depend on the tactical AND strategic doctrines on
the
worlds on which you are fighting. A Paradrop will still be a high
priority
option for a Coup de Main or a Point Of Entry/Airhead seizure. Do you
consider a Battalion drop 'relatively small'?
Of course to a force which has a standard vehicle TOE of grav vehicles
then
it will likely be a completely different story.
Mind in the scale of Stargrunt unless a scenario is tailored
specifically,
the only para-drops I would expect to see are an Infantry
Pathfinder/Special
Forces team insertion.

You should get out more.
Whilst a lot of the guys I know who went to the Australian para
Battalion (3
RAR) when it was first formed, do have dodgy knees and backs these days
a
lot more injuries are due to Rugby, route marches and just plain age!
