This all fits neatly into the history of Indonesia as well. They have
played
the West off against the East and all points in between at least most of
this century. Just look at the antagonism between Australia and
Indonesia of
the early 70s and yet this year Australia is providing economic aid and
conducting joint military training exercises. Indonesian military
harware is
a mix of 60s Socbloc and 80s NATO style!? Yeah, plays havoc with
resupply
and maintenance.

So having an IC that is a bit twitchy and is willing to deal with anyone
is
sure to add plenty of color to teh FT universe.
