Barbarians on horses with lances, no bows, little infantry, and one 
thought in their tiny pea-brains, and that being a frontal charge.  
Lombard, Normans, whatever.  All the same.  All of them minor nuisances 
until the damned court eunuchs ruined the army after the Bulgarslayer 
died.
