One of my FT fleets is based on the old Flash Gordon type ships. I used
bombs and missiles from a 1/144th scale weapons set as the bodies of the
ships and added wings and fins. I've even named the ships after
characters
from the Flash Gordon series (plus some named after characters from the
Marx
Bros. movie Duck Soup). I've armed the ships with early style lasers
and
such. Haven't really used them in a serious game yet.
