We used cinematic in 'A call to arms' Mk's B5 PBEM and although
there was a bit of plug holing, It never occurred to me that
it felt that wrong. This was pre-EFSB.

'Nimrod station' Tom's PBEM used the RT rules and you did have to 
think harder, he also added in some extras such as warp jump pods
that made it very unpredictable.
