Question: Vehicle construction DS vs SG

This is a question for Jon, mostly:

I'm wanting to design some Infantry walkers for use with SG2 (Heavy
Gears actually) & have noticed a discrepency between the vehicle design
in SG & DS.
The DS construction limits the number of weapons to the size class of
the vehicle, but in SG, the only restriction seems to be space.  Does
the weapon limit still apply to SG? or can you put any number of weapons
on if there's the space? (2-3 for most of the walkers).
