It didn't take 'em that long. As of 0800Z this morning, it had been
announced
that "they" had already refined their calcs, and the asteroid in
question is now
expected to pass about 500,000 miles away (well, the Beeb said something
like, "twice as far away from the Earth as the Moon").
What this means for all you hitch-hikers, deponent knoweth not...
