I wonder if this is the same one I heard about.  In the story I heard,
it worked perfectly (just like SF) until they tried to get the test
subject out of the "snot."  Seems that they didn't actually develop any
kind of solvent for the stuff so they had to chip it off.  Took two
days!

I'd hate to be that guy...
