I'm in Ottawa, and I agree with you that August in TO sucks 
weatherwise, so September would be a good idea. If I can help 
organize from a distance, let me know. I plan on running a follow on 
event to one from the original con in Lancaster (With Your Permission 
Sir!). Anyway, let me know if and how I can help.
