Where to start...
The SSD's I've translated were done on Corel Draw 6, so if you have a
program that can read cdr files, I can send them to you.
Phasers:
SFB Trans. 0-6 7-12 13-18 19-24 25-30 31-36
ph-4 6 6 5 4 3 2 1
ph-1 3 3 2 1 0 0 0
ph-2 2 2 1 0 0 0 0
ph-3 1 1 0 0 0 0 0
ph-G 4 0 0 0 0 0 0
Trans. is what I call them. It is a little confusing, but makes game
play easier. Damage from phasers: 1-2=0, 3-4=1, 5-6=2. All sixes get
roll one extra die. Phasers can shoot at fighters and missiles, but
only at ranges of 0-6, and each phazer gets only 1 die regardless of
type, exception ph-g wich get 4 dice (don't you just hate Hydran Gatling
Phasers).
Shields:
Exactly the same number of boxes. DamCon boxes are changed into Shield
Generator (SG) boxes. Each SG box lets you repair 1 damage sheild box
per turn. If all your SG boxes go down, all your shield immediately go
to zero. SG boxes are numbered to make recorded keeping easy.
Heavy Weapons:
NO OVERLOADS. PERIOD.
0-6 7-12 13-18 19-24 25-30 31-36
Photon 5 4 3 2 1 0 to hit
2d6 2d6 2d6 2d6 2d6 0 damage
Disrupter 6 5 4 3 2 1 to hit
1d6 1d6 1d6 1d6 1d6 1d6 damage
Helbore 5 4 3 2 1 0 to hit
5d6 4d6 3d6 2d6 1d6 0 damage
PPD 0 5 4 3 2 1 to hit
0 5d6 4d6 3d6 2d6 1d6 damage
Fusion 2d6 minus range.
Notes:
Disrupter: Whenever a disrupter rolls a "6" for damage, roll 1d6 extra
damage to the hull damage track even if the facing shield is still up.
Disrupters are shield piercing!
Helbores and PPD's. If it hits one shield, divide the damge rolled by
4, one-half goes to the facing shield, one quarter to the two adjacent
shields. If it hits dircetly on the line dividing two shields, divided
the damage rolled by 2, and apply one-half the damage rolled to both
shields. Defender chooses from the shields damaged where odd damage is
scored.
Fire Control:
All Bridge, Aux, Emer, and Flag boxes are translated into fire control.
Note that you will need to use one fire control to fire at each enemy
unit, including ships, bases, drone waves and fighter squadrons.
More latter,
