Well, this is totally not what you wanted, but let me propse a related
system:
Long Range Scatter Pack (LRSP)
Mass: 3
Cost: 10
Fires a spread of long range missles that mirv into scatter packs when
they get close to their target. Roll 1D6 and subtract the range in 6"
segments. i.e. 0-6" - 1D6, 6"-12" - 1D6-1, etc. Then roll that many
scatter pack dice. This will ignore shields, but it not interceptable
by *DAF.
Analysis: This does signifigently less damage than an A beam against
unshielded targets. and does worse against shield 1 targets at
> 18" range. I would tend to mass this the same as an A bat if
you change the mass of the A bat.
