Okay,

The game looks pretty professional, the cover art is very nice, and
the manual cover repeats the box art.
(Basically, it's 3 Earthforce Omegas, rendered from SGI files obtained
from the source.)
Everything is glossy (box, manual, ship counters). AOG said they are
shipping to distributors today. Of course,
the web site says nothing about any of this.

Box contents:

(1) Manual
(1) 20 sided die (grey)
(1) six sided die (grey)
(1)	black & white marker counter sheet (120)
(2)	color countersheets (sheet 1- fighters, sheet 2- capital ships)
(190)
(6) map sheets (black & white, 1.25" hexes, if you ever played
Starfire or Star Fleet Battles you'll recognize them)
(3) Earthforce Starfury fighter miniatures
(3) Minbari Nial fighter miniatures
(3) Narn Frazi fighter miniatures
(3) Centauri Sentri fighter miniatures
(12) plastic stands

I've already seen several typos, and I expect I'll find more, but it
looks like a pretty good effort.
The ship diagrams (SSD's?) are perforated so you can remove them from
the back of the rulebook fairly easily.

I paid $45.00 & tax (about $47.50), The minis alone are worth about
$28 retail, so $17 or $18 for the rules isn't too bad.
Of course we still have the whole expansion thing to go through.

If you have any specific questions, let me know.

PS. I also saw several prototype miniatures at Origins, the Omega, the
big Centauri battleship, and the Hyperion. They all looked pretty
good.
