I think I need to get out more.  My Anime experience is Robotech and
reading some Star Blazers comics.  I can't bring myself to convert
Robotech
over unless I add the dreaded Minmei device (stops all enemy ships for
1D6
turns??)  Or maybe the "Facts of Life" attack for fighters (When Mirya
showed Dana).  Realistically (I hate that word in gaming) the Zentraedi
would destroy the SDF-1 with little trouble.  I guess you could make a
special "what kind of attack" table: 1-3 Rouge Zentraedi Battle Pods
attack, 4 Maniacal (sp) Cruiser captain attacks, 5 Relief Commander
attacks, 6 Whole bunch of ships attack but only one can fire per turn
and
only 1/4 of its weapons.
These other series sound _much_ more "game-able".
