4. No cloaks may be used.
5. Specialized fighters may be used. Specializations may be combined.

railguns, scatterguns, and armor rules.
7. Decoys are available.
8. All sensor and ECM systems are available.
9. Weasel systems are available.
10. Only standard hull sizes defined in the Full Thrust rulebook
will be permitted.
11. AA megabatteries are available.
12. No superships (mass > 100) may be used.
13. Damage control parties may be added.
14. C batteries may be used in an anti-fighter/anti-missile role.
15. No stationary structures may be used.
16. Reflex fields are available.
17. All missile types (Standard, Needle, and EMP) are available.
18. Please feel free to name your ship classes and individual ships.
Fleet Design Rules
1. One major ship classification (ESC, CRU, CAP) may not exceed 50%
of the total number of ships in your fleet. It is therefore
possible
to have equal numbers of any two classifications, such as 4 CAP
and 4 CRU types. A fleet consisting entirely of cruisers would not
be permitted.
2. Sensor, Weasel, Decoy, and ECM rules will be in effect. Thus, your
opponents will have to scan your ships for information on your
ships' status and designs.
3. The fleet must be fully FTL capable. You must include an FTL tug
for the transportation of any non-FTL ships in your fleet. Any
non-FTL ships may be fully deployed at the start of any match.
4. You have up to 2000 points to allocate for your fleet design.
Combat Rules
1. Fleet morale rules are in effect. Combat will be concluded once
the fleet morale level has been reached for one side or the other.
If both sides break on the same turn, the side having scored the
most damage will be declared the winner.
2. Fire combat is simultaneous. Damage results will be applied after
all ships, missiles, and fighters have fired.
3. No FTL entrance or exit is permitted.
4. The battlefield will consist of a square 100 x 100 units in size.
All fleets will set up with y coordinates 10 <= y <= 90.
Side 1 may set up in any coordinate where 0 <= x <= 10 on any
course.
Side 2 may set up in any coordinate where 90 <= x <= 100 on any
course.
5. Ships will have an initial velocity from 6 to 12.
6. Any ship leaving the battlefield is out of the game and is
considered
destroyed for fleet morale purposes.
7. Damage control rules will be used.
8. Any non-FTL ships may be fully deployed at the start of combat.
9. Fighter group morale rules will be used.
10. Striking the colors will not be used.
Other Rules
1. Only the final results of any match will be available to the public
during the tournament. No details of your fleet composition, ship
design, or tactics will be available to any other players prior to
your next match. A full recap of each match will be posted at the
conclusion of the tournament.
2. It is my intent to have the players' identities remain anonymous to
the
other players. Some players on the FT Mailing list have posted some
of their ship designs and preferred tactics they use. If it is the
wish of the players to have full public disclosure, I can make them
fully aware of all player's identities and royal house affliation
prior to any match.
3. All players and their ship and fleet designs will be posted to the
FT
Mailing list at the conclusion of the tournament.
4. Rulings by the gamemaster will be final.
5. I anticipate running at least two matches at a time. Since only
two sets of orders are required from each competing players, I
anticipate a faster turnaround for the match turns.
Call for Players
1. Send me e-mail at davisje@crd.ge.com indicating your desire to
compete
in this tournament. I will randomly assign you to one of the Royal
Houses.
2. Submit a fleet design for review and approval. The deadline for
fleet submission is November 8th, 1996. If you have not submitted a
fleet by this deadline, an alternate player will be selected for
your
royal house.
3. Once your fleet has been approved, send a fleet deployment for Side
1.
A Side 2 deployment will be generated by mirroring a Side 1
deployment.
This deployment will be used in your first match and you are free to
alter this deployment for future matches.
