I wasn't actually aware of this, so please accept my apologies, 
particularly you, Adam. Thanks for putting up with it!! I understand
that 
in a month or two our email will be routed directly to Internet instead
of 
via X400 as at present. I would think the probable cause of the non
ascii 
characters is the translation to/from X400, so hopefully when we get a 
_real_ Internet connection, the problem will go away. Is this perhaps
why I 
sometimes don't get all the posts?
