I'm not sure if this will help or not, but I found with a couple of my
games in xp that I had to enable compatability mode with either
98 or 95 for it to work correctly.

I've not had to do this with orbiter, mainly just with my older games,
but it might be worth a try...

Have you installed the latest patches for xp and service pack?
That resolved quite a few issues I was having with my games
crashing.

As for the person with the 2000 problem, I've no idea :( I don't
use 2000 for my games :(
