A most excellent sim! Cept the base on the Moon does not like the GL-01 ship to land! It drifts after attempting to land!!! (???)

Someone needs to make a modified Atlantis shuttle with hover retros! After all, the shuttles can be more than delivery trucks!

And I would like to land one on Mars! ;)

Use this easy cheat: Choose an appropriate launch window to Mars. (using the transfer orbit instrument) Then bring Atlantis in LEO, and save this as a scenario.

Edit the .scn file with Notepad, change the "configuration" parameter in the to 1 and the fuel to 1.0

BEGIN_SHIPS
STS-101:Atlantis
  STATUS Orbiting Earth
  RPOS -2931350.40 776612.51 5970252.55
  RVEL -6921.875 565.885 -3407.670
  AROT 174.26 54.24 -102.07
  FUEL 0.8
  CONFIGURATION 1
  CARGODOOR 1 1.0000
  GEAR 0 0.0000

Now you can eject Atlantis into interplanetary trajectory using the fully fueled ET and SRB's
Remind that you cannot shut down the SRB's so, if necessary, jettison them before burn-out.

Do not jettison the ET, you need the fuel left for the orbital plane adjustment and mars orbit insertion. If you feel adventurous, just use aerobraking in the martian atmosphere to slow down to sub-orbital velocity.

Don't expect to find a suitable runway however... :-)
