New to Orbiter

I've had orbiter for about a week now. I've spent most of my time in the sim
flying the Apollo/Saturn V and having a ball doing it.

I would like to improve my ascent to orbit skills. I can generally acheive orbit
using the Saturn V stack now, but sometimes I use too much fuel to have enough
left for a TLI burn. Doing the TLI properly is another question, for now I just
want to work on the Earth orbit.

What parameters do I need to follow to acheive Earth orbit in the most efficient
manner? Pitch angle vs altitude would be very helpful. Right now I generally
hold 90 degrees up to about 1000 meters then pitch over to 80-85 up to about
10,000 meters and from then on I gradually bring it over to 15-20 at around 70k
and leave the pitch up angle at 15-20. I will then usualy rise to 200-220k on
momentum but then drop back to around 135k before gaing enough forward velocity
to maintain orbit. This is where I will sometimes end up dipping back into the
upper atmosphere and not be able to attain orbit or burn up a lot of fuel
climbing back up.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!
