I'd very much rather not do this. Each list message already contains in
the headers "X-Mailing-List: orbiter@firedrake.org", and any mail
client capable of filtering should surely be able to use this as a
filtering criterion; failing that, how about filtering on messages
addressed To: or Cc: orbiter@firedrake.org? I find it hard to beleive
(though I no longer use Windows except for games) that an email package
capable of filtering should have it implemented in such a way as only
to be able to filter on a few specific fields.
My experience has been that even a reasonably smart subject-line tagging
system causes far more problems for all list members than it solves for
the few who are unable (for whatever reason) to use filtering at the
client level.
