Dean's method is one of a couple posted here over the years for
replacing the plastic flight stands. It has the advantage of allowing
you to easily remove the ship from the stand, for safer
transportation.

I saw Dean's ships at GenCon and the stands do look very well made. I
believe he has instructions on his web site.
