I have a combination of old GZG U.S. metal bases, and the plastic
"flight stand" bases reinforced with washers. Does anyone use anything
else?

I've started using some Brigade flight stand weights they've been making for their Aeronef line. These seem to work pretty well for the plastic bases on FT ships.
