Gotta be careful with those year cited events. Many, if not most, take place in less than a year's time. Example from history:

1927: Charles Lindbergh makes first successful transatlantic flight

The naive might interpret that it takes a year to fly across the Atlantic. :-D


The Lafayette campaign rules from the same book have six light years of FTL
movement per week.

Which is almost a lightyear a day.
