Nanites have been discussed to death on this list.

Eventually the discussion runs down to this, every single time:

Nanite-based games will essentially be a stack of grey blobs, rolling
around the field and eating each other.  It might be fun for some
people, but it isn't infantry combat and it isn't Stargrunt.

You can have a 200 post thread on the subject, or you can just end it
with the above comment.

I'm officially sick of the subject.  For the logic chain that ends in
that statement, see the archives.
