Germany and Britain made lots.

Germany built one, the Blucher, and may have built another two later on, depending on how you argue (the S & G of WWII). Britain may have laid down three, the wierd sisters (Glorious, Courageous, and Furious) but they were not completed as originally designed. All of the ships laid down as battlecruisers were the size of their contemporary battleships. The USN contemplated a class of five that were squarely between the size of contemporary CA's and BB's, and even finished two of them. _______________________________________________ Gzg-l mailing list Gzg-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.csua.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gzg-l
