Re: [GZG] Re: Missile Counters

I agree that the Weapon Sets can be great sources for ship hulls. I'm
rather fond of the electronics packages. Whenever I come across a box on
discount, I can't resist, even though I've plenty enough waiting to be
bashed.Sort of like unpainted lead...

Likewise, check out cheap discount store model kits; the planes often look
like c**p, but the bomb/fuel tanks are only the base from which you'll
build out. I know several folk on list have tried the planes themselves,
especially the 1/144th and smaller scale, and haven't had a lot of luck,
but I know others that have. Sometimes you can match a nose to a tail,
bypassing all the little air intakes that just don't seem right on space
ship, even if you try saying, "No, that's the carrier's launch bay".

I do recall once bidding on some old model kit ordinance that included a
'bomb' with a removeable cover that seemed to have bomblets inside; would
have made a nice carrier/tender. Does anyone know from where this may have
come?

PS The tanker fleet of Texaco from which I based the TFNS used (in my
imagination) the bombs and the bomb rails, often molded together. I thought
the rails look rather striking as 'sails' for passengers/crew.
