We have a pair in the Tallahassee Junior Museum.  They have a pen next to the swamp.  I was over there one afternoon and one was cleaning the other.  The one being cleaned was purring very loudly.  It sounded like a house cat with a microphone and a 150 Watt Amp.

Panther, I get to hear about Florida Panthers all the time.  Ever heard one purr?
