Re: [GZG] NAC - American style - new ships
For Kent Bywaters,
Yeah, sorry. It's just that in my original "NAC - American style", I already had an escort cruiser called the Norfolk & I felt it best to avoid confusion. That's why I have a battleship Quebec & a cruiser cite du Quebec. Same goes for Mexico, Guatemala, & Panama.
And while we're on the subject, rememering the controversy involving the naming of a submarine "City of Corpus Cristi", the name of one of my light escort cruisers should have been either "City of Corpus Cristi" or "Ciudad de Corpus Cristi", depending on which language the majority of the citizens of Corpus Cristi will be speaking in 2183.

For John Brewer....
John,
Just a brief comment on your class names, from a dweller across the pond...
If the Thunderer class battleship names are based upon contemporary British counties, then the following should drop the "shire" part of the name:
NORFOLK, SUFFOLK,
SUSSEX, DURHAM, KENT.
You could also add HERTFORDSHIRE.
We're not great ones for consistency and continuity in naming systems over here!
Best,
Ken
